Glorious Peaceful Emptiness
Glorious Peaceful Emptiness, S p a c e to think & create
For the last 2 weeks, my brain has been pretty much empty!! ….and all I can say is “Thank God, …. Universe, Spiral, whomever…… AT LAST”!!!
I’ve had a serious blind spot.
For years I’ve been coaching, advising and mentoring others on how “not to be a perfectionist” advising them to : go on, trust the universe; take that first step and the others will follow; write that blog and put it out now, don’t over think or overengineer it; have that conversation with that problematic person because it’ll just get bigger…. blah, blah, blah… and I’ve recently come to realise I’m just as guilty of delaying doing some of my own things as my clients are. There’s a mirror holding up moment right there.
As those who follow me and read my posts will know, I’ve been undertaking the process of becoming a Spiral Emotional Clearing Practitioner, a skill set I’m adding to my coaching toolkit to help Leaders in Transition make the changes they want in their business and life journeys.
An important part of that process is that we pair up with fellow student practitioners during our (online) training sessions and go though the range of clearing processes we’re learning so we can experience what we’re learning about ourselves. It means we can speak from our own lived experience right?
So last week we went through something called a Quantum Clear, a specific process within Spiral Emotional Clearing where you identify and release the emotional charge sitting under a particular archetype - in this case the Leadership or Leader archetype. We had to identify 3 positive and 3 negative traits we each personally felt very strongly about that typified Leadership/being a Leader, in our own worlds, then in our pairs we each took a turn to take each other through the Quantum Clearing process which took about 1hr 50 mins.
Well all I can tell you is, that the very next morning and in the 2 weeks since that 90 min clearing session, my brain has been empty!!! Empty of pressure, criticism, judgement, stress and NOISE, all that I’ve put on MYSELF (guilty as charged). It’s been so quiet in here and so gloriously peaceful.
This doesn’t mean I haven’t been productive. What’s actually happened is that I’ve been phenomenally productive; writing (long delayed) blogs to post going forward (yay finally!!), creating models and diagrams (that I’ve always envied others of being able to do, but haven’t seemed to be able to do myself), having easy conversations with clients, friends and others all around me where I’ve been able to be more present for longer and more empathetic than I’ve ever been able to be before, because I’m not bound up in thinking about what I’m going to say next so I look smart and knowledgeable. Phew…
OK I might still be being a bit hard on myself, but hey, what freedom and space I am now enjoying in having my own business and life work better for myself too!!! Watch out world, here I come. 😊
