Emotional Clearing - what’s this all about?

Feeling stuck & frustrated?

I sat at my desk with my head in my hands frustrated with myself, with my client and with my coaching work in general!!

After yet another conversation where it sounded like nothing much had changed in my client’s team dynamic, I was ready to just give up. I felt like I was stuck in groundhog day. A very smart and successful businessperson after growing her business to 8 figures, after a number of sessions about how to have difficult conversations with problematic team members that always seemed to end up with her saying “yep I’ll talk to “X” by (…)”, but when we had our next coaching call, she just hadn’t.

I sat and thought: Am I the wrong person to be helping her? Am I kidding myself and am really no good at this stuff, or was it time to say to her “I think it’s time for you to work with someone else because we’re just not getting anywhere”. I then started to think about other coaches I know, to work out who might be a better person to help her more.

But I’m pretty stubborn, so I thought; there’s got to be something else I can try before I give up, and that’s when I went looking and found the Spiral Coaching Institute/Spiral School of Awakening and the emotional clearing modality.

So for the last year, I’ve been becoming increasingly immersed in learning and practicing Spiral Emotional Clearing. I’m currently doing the Advanced Course and am increasingly excited about what this can and is doing for people in helping them clear their “stuff”.

It's not therapy and it's not another coaching framework, it's a way of working directly with the unhelpful emotional and belief patterns that sit in our unconscious, driving and influencing pretty much everything we do and think about ourselves and others, and stops us from doing what we so desperately want to do or  achieve in a sustainable way.

There are parts of a person’s behaviour, attitude and approach that culture, strategy and accountability just can't help, because their issues were never strategic, best intentions, willpower or effort problems to begin with. They go much deeper and can’t be dealt with by just having simple focused conversations about goal setting or learning new conversational approaches because our sub-conscious is more powerful than most of us know.

Getting involved in this work doesn’t mean I'm walking away from my other work with business culture, alignment and leadership coaching as I still do both and know this can make a meaningful difference to many of my clients. However the emotional clearing work is the direction I want to spend more of my time on as it's the part of the work that feels most like it can actually help my clients change fundamentally and sustainably, not just try to manage themselves better; successfully or otherwise.

So if you've ever done "everything right" followed your coaches instructions and still felt stuck, frustrated or having another groundhog day like me, I understand exactly why and now know I can really help you do something about it, and, it's likely got nothing to do with a lack of effort on yours or another’s behalf.
