Red Teaming Australia

Red Teaming Australia - Strategic Thinking

What is Red Teaming I hear you ask?

Originating by Pope fiftith the 6th in the Vatican in the form of the devil’s advocate to challenge and scrutinise the legitimacy of nominations of people for sainthood, then expanded by the military in the aftermath of the 9/11 attack, the term Red Teaming has developed into a formally recognized and proven set of processes which are designed to be used to question and challenge biases, heuristics and uncover blind spots that we as People, have in all aspects of our lives.

So  how can you use this in business?

I have teamed up with a small group of local professionals to form a company called Red Teaming Australia and using a range of contrarian thinking processes and programmes, we plan to bring this way of thinking to businesses in Australia and beyond, to assist business owners and leaders to challenge their strategies in order to have a more robust but more realistic and flexible approach to getting things done in this VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) world we now live in.

This process needs an open mind, the willingness to put ego and attachment to long or strongly held opinions and beliefs aside so they can be effectively explored, challenged and questioned to ensure their currency, truth, relevancy in the real world. This process is meant to be done in a respectful and constructive manner, but is likely to take people out of their comfort zones.

Testimonial

Jo has proven herself an excellent and holistic advisor in aiding my personal leadership development as a corporate executive and supporting me as a sounding board in leading my own business. Jo understands the complexity of people and relationships, and exercises this with discretion and compassion, delivered with neither fear nor favour. Due to her wide experience, Jo can be relied upon to connect all the dots, from the factory floor to the c-suite across business and people related situations, I highly recommend her.
